Bit and the Lifesaving Drone

Bit and the Lifesaving Drone
How flying robots deliver medicine to places around the world

Can a flying robot help save the day? Let’s find out!

Bit and his friends are visiting a village clinic in the hills of Rwanda when a new mother urgently needs medicine. The nearest hospital is hours away, so Nurse Grace orders it… by drone! Kids watch the drone get packed, launch, find its way with satellites, fly over the hills and drop the medicine by parachute, right on time.

Inside this book, kids will learn:

• What a drone is and how it flies all by itself
• How satellites help drones find their way
• Why a drone can be faster than a truck
• How drones help farmers, rescuers and people around the world
• Bit’s drone rules: fly only with a grown-up, keep to open spaces and respect people’s privacy
